Run for Water Singapore 2010 Race Review
Participated my very first charity run of the year, Run for Water Singapore 2010. The weather looks promising but relatively hot as the race started at 0800. Luckily, it was just 6km which does not take much time to complete. Met up with my friend, raymond and the race was flagged off by amy khor.
The race route was not new to most of the runners as it was part of the singapore marathon route. the starting point was at f1 pit and to nicoll highway and back. relatively flat route. There is only one water point which is at 3.5km mark. Distance marker was properly placed and my garmin forerunner recorded exactly 6km.
After the race, runners are award with a finisher medal. There were various booth about saving water and how other countries people get their water daily. From this race, i can understand how fortunate singaporeans are; hence please use water wisely
Race results are out @ http://results.racetectiming.com/Default.aspx?CId=11&RId=6010&EId=1; you can also print out your personalized certificate in this website too. Oh ya…forget to mention that i completed this 6km run at a timing of 29mins31secs (nett).
Well, let the pictures do the talking. Till then, train well
